Miaoux Miaoux will play very special live show in Captains Rest on November 23, to preview the new album material with a full live band and guest vocalists.

The guests are: ProfiseePaul Carlin (Dananananaykroyd / American Men), Kris Ferguson (Mitchell Museum), Anna Miles (Maple Leaves). Support from the awesome Jonnie Common. 8pm. £5 on the door.

Veronica Falls will play an in store show at Monorail before they hit the stage at the Captains later on.

The Captains Rest Halloween party returns on October 29 with performances from Bwani Junction, Miniature Dinosaurs, Fiction Faction, £5 on the door – £3 with a costume.

Communion Glasgow presents a special stripped back performance from the globe-trotting Three Blind Wolves days before their trip to the states, at Brel on October 30, tickets £7.

The Imagineers, Waiting For Go and Strawberry Ocean Sea play Oran Mor on boxing day.

There Will Be Fireworks are back playing again, this one comes courtesy of The Imaginary Kind and also features Friends In America and People, Places, Maps, it’s at Stereo on December 18, tickets £5.

Washington Irving play with Other Lives at Captains Rest on Tuesday.

The Seventeenth Century have got lots of new songs written for their debut album, and are going to give them a whirl before it all gets recorded, they play at the 13th Note on November 5. £3, 9pm doors, support TBC.

Whats The Noise has teamed up with Flat 0/1 to bring you a brand new night called The Pussy Cat Club. Which will take place every Saturday featuring some of the best live acts around. The event on November 19 features The OK Social Club, Havoc, The Dots, Greg Pearson, Michael Sharp. Doors 7.30pm-3am, tickets £5.
