Layers of Latin lace droning landscapes of ambient rock; It’s all a weird progressive punk – effectively integrating oodles of influences and ideas into a succinct package that never feels like it’s choked for space.
Instead, we’re treated to a light and fluffy soufflé where glitch, Latin, noise and hip hop influences are treated with the same respect as the rock with which the foundation was built.
The title, ‘Jealousy Sinking Ships’, may sound simplistic, with ‘Jealousy’ and ‘Sinking Ships’ the only tracks present on this release – but there’s more to it all.
Juxtaposed in the grandiose ambition of what Capitals have tried to achieve here, is a modest, human quality of an artist quietly going about their business.
