Lilac Pin’s debut ‘Easy’ entices you with an initial progression of intricate piano and melodic vocals before your sweet dreams are punctured by the unanticipated sound of glorifying and electrifying synth.
These two worlds collide into one as the band creates a whole new world of their own among the parallel of instrumental and synthetic sounds.
The band nestle gently between the complexity of organic and electronic layers, beautifully embracing one another into new and innovative textures, while the keys presence remain subtle until they escape from the noise and seize the very last few seconds of the track.
Having just surfaced from the depths of Glasgow with a sound as distinguished and composed as this, they are certainly one to watch. The pin has dropped.
