Lemonhaze’s new single ‘So Called Facts’ begins with low drumming, which builds up into a crescendo including a catchy and fun guitar riff.
The band provide a mix of some 90’s grunge influence, alongside a similar sound to modern bands such as such as White Lies and The Twilight Sad, this comparison can be heard through their new single, a fusion of pop and indie, played with lyrics which are not as lively.
“You can take the knife, stab it in my back” repeats vocalist Gerald Doran throughout the chorus, highlighting a contrast between the band’s music and lyrical content.
So Called Facts’, however, is a very good introduction to the exciting style of music, which can be expected from the band in the future.
