‘Lights In The Dark’ is the first single to be released from singer-songwriter Carla J. Easton(also known for her work in TeenCanteen), with her solo album due to land later this year.
This song highlights the beautiful tones Easton has to her voice; there is something quirky and unique about her vocals that make her stand out from other singer-songwriters.
Recorded at the Hotel2Tango studio in Montreal, this song showcases exquisite songwriting combined with excellent recording skills to capture the delicate sweet nature of this song.
Produced by Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Leonard Cohen, British Sea Power), the husky qualities in Easton’s voice pulls the listener in to this catchy infectious tune.
Having been mentored by Grammy award winning and nominated songwriters Don Henry and Kim Richey whilst in Canada, Easton’s songwriting skills have flourished and grown tremendously.
‘Lights In The Dark’ is also accompanied by an 80’s themed video directed by Blair Young, an elegant and effective video that captures the essence of the song
With the album out later this year, this could be a very exciting year for Carla J. Easton especially if the first single is anything to go by.
