Campfires In Winter have announced a special Christmas show at Sloans Grand Ballroom on December 17, featuring friends and special guests.
It seems like the summer festival season is only just over yet the inevitable John Lewis Christmas advert is just around the corner.
It’s likely that your Christmas spirit is still locked away in the loft alongside the bin bag full of decorations but the latest announcement from Campfires In Winter is sure to fill even the most Scrooge-like soul with a little festive cheer.
On Wednesday, December 17 in the stunning surroundings of Glasgow’s Sloans Grand Ballroom, Campfires In Winter will host the first Campfires’ Christmas Party with help from a few friends and some special guest collaborations.
Support comes from Friends In America, whose unique brand of alternative, indie, dream-pop nestles snugly amongst the wintery surroundings, and unpredictable noise makers Deathcats who will set the brandy alight atop the Christmas pudding with their fuzzy, sweaty, surf-pop.
No Christmas party would be complete without a dose of drunken dancing however and The Twilight Sad will be on hand to spin some records after the bands until the wee cold hours of the morning.
Each ticket is handmade and comes with a signed and personalised Campfires In Winter Christmas card and includes a free glass of mulled wine and mince pie on arrival.
A small brass band will entertain guests with a selection of favourite Christmas songs between each band and there will be a Festive Photo Booth where guests can pose in front of the Campfires’ Christmas Fireplace in classic Christmas family portrait style and receive a Polaroid memento of the moment.
So hunt out your best Christmas jumper and join in for a night of music, mistletoe, mince pies, mulled wine and general merriment in one of Glasgow’s finest venues and celebrate Christmas in style with Campfires In Winter.
Christmas attire is strongly encouraged.
